FORTY HADITHS ON CUPPING THERAPY
Shaykh Abdul-'Aziz Ibn Baz said:
The statement of the Prophet صَلَّى ٱللَّٰهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ "The best of that with which you can be treated is Hijamah" indicates that Hijamah is an excellent method of treatment. In fact, it is the best of that with which the people can be treated when the state of the blood changes, rages, and wells up. The medical experts and people of insight hold that Hijamah removes the excess blood which is harmful and stagnant. It is decreased and removed by way of Hijamah such that pure healthy blood remains. However, it requires people of insight who have experience and are cognizant of how to perform Hijämah and what is (healthy) blood and what is bad blood.
