Repelling the Accusations of Irja' From the Scholars of Ahl Al-Sunnah - Unravelling the Deception of the Takfiris and Haddadis in Maligning the Salafi Scholars

Recently (2013-2014), a new wave of Häddadiyyah has appeared within Saudi Arabia (and elsewhere). Some of them have connections or sympathies towards the Takfiri Kharijites of ISIS. They have gone further than those before them and have started to openly express their criticism of well-known Salafi Scholars, past and present, until even Ibn Taymiyyah, Ibn 'Uthaymin, Ibn Bāz, "Abd al-Razzãa al-Afifi and others have not been safe from their tongues because all of these scholars hold positions that clash with the exaggerated views of these Haddädiyyah.

The issues around which these accusations are being constructed include:

  1. the ruling on abandonment of prayer
  2.  the excuse of ignorance (al-'udhru bil-jahl) in matters of kufr and shirk
  3. statements used by some of Ahl al-Sunnah such as shart sihhah and shart kamal in their discussion of matters pertaining to imän
  4. insisting on the use of innovated phrases in the definition of imãn such as jins al-'amal
  5. trying to portray statements used by the Salaf regarding imãn (such as imãn having a foundation and branch) as expressions of Irjã.
  6. The Haddadiyyah have monopolised the controversies and differences in these topics, turning them into entry points for their hostile agendas. This work provides a detailed treatment of these affairs.
